The main ideology behind this workshop was to learn the Mise-en-scene and the studio set up in different aspects. All the background change according to the students collection theme were researched properly with the help of Mr. Naseef.
The UG students were divided into groups for Docket Preparation as well as Coordination for setting up the sequence day wise.
The PG students were the models for some of their own designs. They carried themselves well in terms of the attitude and the facial expressions that were required to convey the feeling of the theme.
Speaking about the theme inspiration of their couture, Ms. Akshaya Theresa Justin developed a
Ready to Wear Collection from Mosaic Art, Ms. Bijiny Sebastian developed a Couture on Pollution, Ms. Christy Joseph developed a Couture on Coral Reefs and Ms. Mahima Mangalan developed a Couture taking inspiration from Kathakali.
Most of them developed 3 Garments for their Couture. Accessories, Styling and Choreography tips were discussed with the Faculties of the Department.
Time management was a crucial factor as these many garments were to be shot!
Each garment was clicked for a minimum of 100 times in different perspectives to pick up the best one for their Portfolio layout.
