Tie and dye is an age-old technique known to humans since ancient civilizations. It is a process of resisting certain areas to not let the dyes, thus creating a pattern. A simple thread, chord or even a rubber band can be tied to block the dye from penetration.
Students learnt variety of traditional methods of tie and dye such as Sunray effect, Leheriya, Bandhini, Shibori and Marble Effect.
They enjoyed the session very much especially while preparing a dye bath and infusing color onto the fabric.
