The Chief Minister inaugurated the two-day Kochi Design Week (KDW) at Bolgatty Island. “The government is conducting a ‘wide array of discussions’ with experts to locate the areas that require focal attention to promote design as a means to augment economic development,” he said.
Industries Minister Shri. P. Rajeev said the state aims to launch ‘Made in Kerala’ as a brand, bringing under it products such as coconut oil, cashew nut and coir. “This will hit the market only after strict quality inspection,” he revealed, adding that the government will use an e-commerce platform to implement the idea.
The students of ISCA had the incredible opportunity to showcase their talents and skills at this year’s Kochi Design Week. Students managed a stall of their own where they sold different types of creative and beautiful artworks along with the help of their faculty, like T-shirt painting, mug engraving, wood printing, calligraphy etc.
There was also a section for VR experience and VFX experience for VFX enthusiasts and newbies alike!
And finally the biggest highlight of was the Photobooth where people would stand inside the box and pose for the camera to get a Magazine front page feel.
